MINDFULNESS RETREAT

The therapist, Angeles Martinez Bodi has over 30 years of teaching experience specialising in psychology. She has worked in England in different institutions helping to implement psychological therapies.

She has a degree in Sociology, for a greater knowledge of group behaviour, a master’s degree in education and teaching and a master’s degree in Mindfulness.

Objectives

  • Focus on the potential value of the, here and now.
  • Encourages positive habits.
  • Promote sensations, thoughts, emotions, and ideas as phenomena of the mind subject to mutations, and changes.
  • Assertiveness and encourage empathy.

The retreat is an holistic experience and recognise the importance of complimentary therapies, so  we offer over the retreat weekend the opportunity to try life coaching and Reiki:

The cost of accommodation and meals for the weekend is 399 euros per person, the rooms consist of a double and shared rooms.

This includes accommodation and all meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch and late snack.

It is not necessary to have completed a meditation retreat before – if this is your first retreat, go ahead.

The retreat will be conducted in english and spanish

Friday

18.00-20.00 Arrival, exploration of the centre, meeting with other participants, introductory talk

19.00-20.00 Nut and sultana exercise, feedback.

20.00-21.00 Learning self-regulation of emotions and “body scan and meditation” exercise

                       feedback.

21.00-22.00 Dinner with a reflection on attention to food

                    Meditation session, body scan, sitting meditation

Saturday

8.00 Session of meditation, body scan or sedente meditation

9.00 Breakfast  

9.30 Awareness of the difference between emotions, thoughts and interpretations

                      Individual practice of attention to breathing

11.00-11.15 Breathing attention meditation

11.15-11.45 Introduction to conscious meditation and feedback with participants

12.00.13.00 Sedente meditation and feedback with participants

13.00 Lunch

13.30-15.30 Conscious meditation sessions, body scan, sitting meditation

15.30-16.30 Exercises to reconnect with the present, sound meditation and klepsydra

16.30-17.30 Itinerant meditation practice, feedback

17.30-20.00 Learning exercise of externalisation of problems, feedback

20.00 Dinner

21.00-22.00 Self-care planning, feedback
